Last week we celebrated Volunteer Week with a delicious morning tea for our wonderful volunteers. National Volunteer Week is Australia’s largest annual celebration of volunteering and is held from 19-25 May 2025. This special event highlights the important role of volunteers in our community.

We invited all our volunteers, both past and present, including our valuable classroom volunteers who support our students to be successful with their learning, our hardworking admin volunteers who help us to keep the centre running behind the scenes, and our amazing Committee of Management, who work tirelessly to support Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre and help us fulfil our full potential as a thriving community hub.
We decided to hold a special morning tea, to say thank you to them for all their hard work and dedication to Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre throughout the year.

Our fabulous English students with the support of their teachers Amy and Rabia, and classroom volunteers Cathy and Joy, prepared a delicious spread for our volunteers, and made cards and decorations to say thank you for all they do to help our centre and make it the welcoming and supportive place it is.
To all our volunteers, who are the life blood of our community centre, thank you for everything you do.
Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre wouldn't be the same without you. We appreciate you all.
