All children must bring a refillable water bottle, healthy morning tea and lunch each day along with sunsmart hat and sunscreen. Please make sure all belongings are clearly named. We currently have children that attend our centre who have ANAPHYLAXIS. Their pictures are displayed throughout the centre. Staff would like to make all parents and children mindful of our procedures with hand washing and bringing items into our centre to eat in Before/After School Care & Vacation Care, to ensure the safety of all children. We do encourage all children not to eat any Kiwi Fruit, Tree Nuts, Peanuts and Egg items whilst the children are enrolled in our centre. We ask all children if they need to get any items from their bag to inform staff. If you require any information regarding ANAPHYLAXIS please see staff. |
Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre, Inc. Children's Services aims to provide quality care, with consideration of the needs of children, families and the community, actively supporting growth and development.
We employ professionally trained, experienced staff dedicated to sharing experiences and learning opportunities with your children.
Our programs are gender and ability inclusive as well as developmentally and culturally appropriate. We approach children through encouragement and positive reinforcement.
Merinda Park Learning & Community Centre, Inc offers the following Children's Services.

Days/Times:
Occasional Care
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 9.30am - 12.30 noon
Cost 3 hrs session:
1 child, $14.50 ($12.50 conc.),
2 children, $19.50 ($17.50 conc.),
3 or more children, $22.50 ($19.50 conc.)
NEW Cost 5 hrs session:
1 child, $23.00 ($21.00 conc.),
2 children, $31.00 ($29.00 conc.),
3 or more children, $36.00 ($34.00 conc.)
Before & After School Care
For primary school children: Breakfast is provided before 8.00am. Afternoon snacks are provided. Children are taken door to door, to and from local schools in the Community Centre bus.
Before School Care
Monday to Friday: 6.30am - 8.45am (includes breakfast if child is in care before 8.00am)
Cost:
$12.00 per day (before CCB reduction)
After School Care
Monday to Friday: 3.15pm - 6.00pm (includes snack)
Cost:
$12.50 per day (before CCB reduction)
Vacation Care and Curriculum Days (School Holiday Program)
Vacation care will commence on the 9 January, 2012 and continue till the children return to school.
Exciting school holiday programs operate over the school holidays. 6.30am - 6.00pm week days. Bookings are taken generally two weeks before the holiday period. CLOSED PUBLIC HOLIDAYS.
Monday to Friday: 6.30am - 6.00pm
Cost:
$30.00 per day (before CCB reduction) excursions extra
Bookings essential for these sessions due to limited spaces.
Playgroups
Two sessions are available on a Wednesday during school term,
9.15am - 11.00am, please bring a morning snack,
OR
11.00am - 12.45pm please bring lunch
Cost per session:
$3.00 for one child
$4.00 per family (2 or more children)
Wednesday - Baby Bears Playgroup
Best Start Playgroup – Government Funded
Wednesday 1.15pm – 2.45pm, please bring an afternoon snack.
This is a facilitated playgroup particularly for families needing some extra assistance, and runs during school terms.
Cost per session: $2.00 per family
TopBOOKINGS
Due to staff ratios and limited places available in our Children's Services Programs, we need to ensure programs are booked and attended to their fullest capacity.Bookings must be made for all programs.
Permanent bookings will be given preference over casual bookings. A fee applies for holding a booking.
